The last ball has been kicked and passed at The Gnoll for season 2018/19.

In weather made for willow and leather rather than the oval, the famous ground hosted the Ospreys Junior Finals on Sunday and the glorious conditions brought some splendid rugby to end the season in style.

First up were the Under-12’s and Bridgend Sports took the honours with a 19-5 win over the Valley Ravens (Nantymoel, Ogmore Vale, Pontycymmer and Blaengarw).

Next in action were the Under-13’s and here there was a local victory as Tonmawr triumphed over Tondu in a high-scoring 38-22 try feast.

But the final game produced joy at Under-14’s for Tondu who ran out winners over Maesteg Celtic 24-5.

Congratulations to all the lads and the match officials who between them ensured that there was rugby to match the superb conditions.
