Neath and Tata Steel have reversed venues for their two WRU Championship Cup ties which means the Welsh All Blacks will commence the campaign at the Margam-based club’s ground on Saturday, August 7th (kick off 2.30pm) ahead of visiting Maesteg Quins the following week.

With training having been gradually building up since last month, the coaches are happy to go into what promises to be an extended season without a formal warm-up match beforehand.

However, the on-field momentum will be maintained when Division 1 South West promotion contenders Birchgrove visit The Gnoll on Friday, August 20th (kick off 7.15pm) for what will be Neath’s first home game of the season.

Discussions about a fourth August fixture are currently on-going and news will appear here on the Neath RFC web-site first.
