NEATH v CARDIFF METROPOLITAN (AWAY) – SATURDAY, APRIL 9th, 2022
Neath have three home fixtures remaining but play their final away match in this year’s WRU Championship when they visit Cardiff Metropolitan at Cyncoed (kick off 2.30pm).
Places are up for grabs in the team for the WRU Championship Cup final in two weeks time and, with a few players unavailable, Neath make several changes from the side which started in the 68-14 win over Beddau last time out.
Jon Bayliss forms a speedy back three with wingers James Roberts and Matthew Jenkins who scored 7 tries between them against Beddau. Skipper Aaaron Bramwell will partner David Langdon at centre while Steff Williams and Nicky Griffiths are re-united at half back.
Gareth Lloyd, Chris Morris and Tim Ryan form a solid front row with Sam Langford and Jacob Blackmore packing down behind. In the back row, Carwyn Sion switches to No.8 flanked by Emyr Williams and Dyfan Ceredig.
On the replacements’ bench, Iestyn Morgan and Elis Horgan provide the backs cover with Jack Powell, Josh Clark and David Griggs poised to add impact up front.
