Neath RFC

Following the postponement of last Saturday’s Championship match against Tata Steel, Neath RFC are quickly back into action when they host Central Glamorgan Rugby Union at The Gnoll on Thursday evening (kick off 7.15pm).

Central Glamorgan comprises Neath’s WRU District ‘D’ and the visitors have named a strong side based heavily upon the Maesteg Harlequins and Kenfig Hill clubs. They also include former Neath prop Ben Uphill who is now with Maesteg Celtic and Pencoed hooker Jack Walker who played for Pontypridd last week.

Neath will be led by skipper Aaron Bramwell who switches to centre in place of Ryan Evans with Tonna product Huw Wilkes named at loose head prop. Two spots have yet to be finalised and, as a consequence, so has the replacements’ bench which will feature centre Owain Hopkins (Neath Athletic), scrum-half Scott Hawkins (Birchgrove) and flanker Emyr Williams (Maesteg Quins).
