Matthew Jones has departed The Gnoll to become Bridgend RFC’s backs coach.
The former Wales international re-joined Neath at the start of the uncompleted 2019/20 season and was just about ready to return from a knee operation when rugby was halted.
Matthew leaves with the Neath club’s best wishes at the end of his contract and he has an opportunity at Bridgend to play a bigger role in coaching.
Neath are well blessed in the No. 10 shirt having signed Resolven-based Steff Williams from Aberavon and re-signed the experienced David Langdon from Ebbw Vale and already having Jordan Rees in situ.
