Neath RFC

After an absence of four weeks, Neath RFC are at home to Glais on Friday evening (kick off 7.15pm) in a special match to celebrate the villagers’ 125th anniversary.

Glais were keen to play at The Gnoll – something they did for the first time in 1957 – and, after beating Crynant 40-14 at the weekend, are in good form.

Neath secured their seventh consecutive win when they got their Championship campaign off to a good start with a 30-22 success at Narberth

An 8th consecutive win would be something not achieved since 2010/11 albeit against tougher opposition.

However, the Blacks have named a virtually all-change team. Back into the fold come young three-quarters Ben Griffin and Sam Court and No.8 Scott Hicks while Swansea University student Iwan Johnes will come off the bench for his first appearance, although the threequarter line has yet to be finalised depending upon a permit being received.

The weather is set to be dry and not too cold so please come along and support.
