Neath RFC

Former Wales B international second-row Paul Jones (not to be confused with the ex-Neath captain and prop of the same name) has died at the age of 49.

Paul made his first-class debut for Neath in 1991/92 when he made 16 appearances for the Club and scored two tries.

A graduate of Bridgend Athletic whence he was capped by Wales Youth, Paul was one of a fine group of second-rowers who played for Neath that year including the international Llewellyn brothers, Mike Whitson, Paul Jackson, Andrew Kembery.

He then departed for Llanelli and later played for Newport, Leeds and Caerphilly.

Neath RFC’s condolences go to his family and friends.
