Neath RFC

Neath RFC entertain Tata Steel at The Gnoll on Saturday (kick off 2.30pm).

Neath’s starting selection sees seven changes with Luke Griffiths, David Langdon, Jon Bayliss and Nicky Griffiths returning behind the scrum and Jack Powell, Sam Langford and Dyfan Ceredig at forward.

Tata will present a strong challenge for the Blacks – a fact not wasted on Ryan Evans, scorer of a late try in the narrow defeat against Swansea last week. He said, “Tata pushed Maesteg Quins close so we will need to continue the strong finish we had to last week’s game. We had a good crowd who really got behind us and the noise inspired us really.

“I am enjoying my rugby back at Neath. We have a positive attitude and the style we play means I am seeing plenty of ball.

“Lots of us are local lads and it was great to hear people enjoying it. We want to give them plenty to cheer and the more who come along to support us the better.”
