NEATH v TATA STEEL (HOME) – WEDNESDAY, APRIL 27th,  2022

After all the excitement of Sunday’s 16-13 WRU Championship Cup final win over Bargoed, Neath must re-focus quickly for Wednesday’s league game when Tata Steel come to The Gnoll (kick off 7.15pm).

A win would put the Blacks top of the WRU Championship and, as expected, the Neath team has been freshened up.

Iestyn Morgan will be at full back with Cup try-heroes James Roberts and Matthew Jenkins on the flanks. Jonny Bayliss is joined by former Gnoll star Iwan Evans who returns at centre while Steff Williams is partnered by Macauley Griffiths.

The front row comprises Gareth Lloyd,Chris Morris and Zac Giannini with Ross O’Connor and Jon Barley locking them. Ciaran Comerford and Emyr Williams join captain Owain Morgan in the back row.

A strong-looking replacements’ bench comprises forwards Sion Crocker, Tim Ryan and Josh Clark and backs Elis Horgan and Aaron Bramwell

Neath’s latest trophy – the WRU Championship Cup – will be on parade so that supporters’ children can have their photograph taken with it.
