TEAM NEWS & SUPPORTERS’ INFORMATION – NEATH v TREBANOS (AWAY) – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4th,  2021

Neath travel to Trebanos on Saturday in the Admiral Championship (kick off 2.30pm) with the Blacks seeking to build on last week’s outstanding victory over Pontypool – the first time the Gwent club had been beaten in 64 games stretching back to March, 2017.

However, Neath know that the win will make things more difficult at Trebanos and the Blacks are mindful of the challenge they will pose. Trebanos have shown good form this season, are top of the WRU Championship Plate competition and, after their loss at Maesteg Quins last week, are expected to be reinforced this week by a few Premiership players.

Neath make a number of changes from the side which started last week with healthy competition throughout the squad.

Iestyn Morgan returns at full back to form a strong back three with Aaron Grabham and Jonny Bayliss on the wings. Ryan Evans will once again captain the team and he is partnered at centre by David Langdon while centurion Steff Williams and Macauley Griffiths are the halves.

Up front, Gareth Lloyd, Chris Morris and Tim Ryan form a solid front row with Sam Langford and Ross O’Connor packing down behind them in the engine-room while Jacob Blackmore, Dyfan Ceredig and Owain Morgan form a lively back row.

Scott Hicks returns on an experienced replacements’ bench after re-appearing in the 70-6 win over Glais a fortnight ago.
