Winger Sion Summers, a Barry-based South Wales Policeman, will be on the beat at The Gnoll when the new season starts.

Originally from Aberystwyth, Sion made four appearances for Newport last season and is very keen to make an impression at The Gnoll after spending most of last season with the fine Ystrad Rhondda side which finished second in the Championship.

He is already impressing in training with his new colleagues as the Blacks step up their fitness preparations in readiness for the new season. Welcome aboard, Sion !
