Neath RFC

Neath Rugby are proud to have hosted the Annual Neath Schoolboys Tournament on Sunday the 24th April.
The tournament saw 16 club teams from around Wales descend on the Gnoll to compete over the prestigious Bryn Astley trophy.

With many teams from Neath and the surrounding South Wales valleys the competition was sure to be feisty and very competitive.

Local team Tonmawr battled through the day winning all of their games and beating Aberdare in a very competitive final.
With over 250 children competing in the tournament and around 400 parents lining the terraces the day was a great success!

Neath Schoolboys whose priority is to increase participation of children within the primary phase were very happy to acquire the support of Neath rugby but also local food giants Tesco and Morrisons who donated a bottle of water and fruit for the players respectively.

With a fabulous day of rugby, for not only the players for all the family, we hope to be involved in this tournament and develop it for years to come.
If you are a current Under 9’s team and would like to compete in next year’s tournament please contact Neath Schoolboys via the email:  neathschoolboys@outlook.com
