Neath are pleased to announce the signing of Jordan Rees who played for the club over the second-half of the season on permit from Abercwmboi.

Versatile Jordan quickly proved himself a favourite with the supporters with his willingness to take the game to the opposition coupled with his sound tackling.

Primarily an outside-half, he also figured at full back and launched a flowing try against Cross Keys from that position.

Jordan said, “Playing for Neath RFC is not only a honour and privilege but very humbling knowing the history and the former players who have represented this great club.

“I really appreciate the welcome I have had from day one, from everyone connected to the Neath family, and I felt a real sense of community from within the club despite difficult circumstances last season

“Despite those circumstances I believe the whole experience brought a real spirit and togetherness which hopefully can give us a swift return to Premiership rugby despite there being some quality teams within the Championship.

“I am very grateful to be asked to represent the club this coming season and, when I am fortunate to be selected, I can promise I will give 100% commitment – a minimum requirement for the loyal Neath RFC supporters.

** Jordan’s brother Jarrad played alongside him in the Neath team. Will he be with the Blacks too ? Keep an eye on this site where further signings will be announced in due course.
