Following on from the announcement that Aaron Bramwell has signed on again for 2019/20, Neath RFC are delighted to announce that scrum-half Nicky Griffiths will also be with the Blacks again next season.
Nicky, a proven Premiership performer, has shown his class already this season since coming on board in January and the signing of the top base of the scrum operator is a key piece in the jigsaw which Neath are putting together again.
Nicky said, “It is an honour to sign for a club which is rich in history and tradition.
“I have always felt a connection with Neath RFC as my father (full back Jonathan and known as ‘Jiffy’ before Jonathan Davies came on board) is a former player with fond memories of his time here.
“Whilst I initially arrived to help for a couple of games during a time of struggle, I
instantly recognised and witnessed a community coming together.
“It is more than just rugby and that is why I have signed to contribute what I can to this great club and to help play my part in rebuilding Neath RFC.
“The supporters are amazing and so passionate about the side and our aim must be to get the club back into the Premiership as quickly as we can although there will be a lot of good teams in the Championship next year – and I don’t mean just those going down.”
All good teams have good half-backs – and Neath RFC have one of the best around in Nicky Griffiths.
Further signings will be announced shortly – so keep tuned to this web-site.
