Neath RFC

The Neath team to play Bargoed on Sunday has been announced with head coach Patrick Horgan immediately commenting that it was “easily the most testing” selection of the season.

Unfortunately, only 23 players can be named and some will naturally be disappointed to miss out; the coaches had an unenviable task in certain positions as so many have worked so hard to get to the final and to current second place in the league.

One thing is certain, ALL squad players will be firmly in supporters’ thoughts !

Of course, the side may yet change as late fitness tests are still required at the team’s last walk-through session. The final also means opportunity knocks for one young player.

The additional replacements allowed require specialist tight head prop cover so the Blacks have drafted in a newcomer in student Zac Giannini who hails from Llanelli Wanderers and has played for Wales Under-20.
