Neath RFC

After Tonna’s cancellation last week, WRU Championship leaders Neath resume action against Beddau at The Gnoll on Saturday (kick off 2.30pm).

Having gone top a fortnight ago courtesy of Pontypool’s inactivity and their own 43-15 win at Trebanos, Neath have several players return for the visit of Beddau who have run high-fliers Bargoed, Bedwas and Narberth close in recent weeks and last week had an impressive 37-nil Cup win at Ystalyfera,

After missing out on action last week, team – and supporters – will be raring to go but Neath know that only a fully switched on display will be good enough.

Lewis Evans returns at full back with Aled Brew on the wing and Ben Atkins returns at centre alongside skipper Ryan Evans. Macauley Griffiths is also back at scrum-half.

In the pack, prop Tim Ryan, hooker Sion Crocker, lock Matthew Davies and back rower Jacob Blackmore return. Neath Athletic youngster Cerith Davies will make his debut off an otherwise experienced replacements’ bench.
