Neath RFC

Neath travel to Parc de Pugh to play Brecon in their first away game of the 2025/26 season on Saturday (kick off 2.30pm).

Last season, Neath won the league encounter 19-12 but lost there in the Cup 24-31 and drew 21-21 at The Gnoll so the All Blacks are expecting a real challenge.

Brecon have a much-changed squad this season and lost both their opening games against Pontypridd and Cross Keys.

In their first game, Neath suffered an agonising last-kick defeat by champions Merthyr (19-22) but last week struck a purple patch last Saturday in defeating below par Ystrad Rhondda (69-19) scoring 11 tries in the process.

Skipper Ben Williams will lead a Neath team which shows starting rotations with last week’s 19-points star Iestyn Morgan moving back to full back and Paul Short back from holidays at outside-half.

Three impactful replacements from last week return : Sam Harris comes in at centre and there are two changes in the pack where prop Mason Morgan and back rower Steff Lewis return.
