Neath RFC

Following the postponement of Saturday’s game against RGC, Neath eagerly anticipate the rarity of a an Indigo Premiership game under floodlights when Bridgend visit The Lextan Gnoll on Thursday evening (kick off 7.30pm).

The S4C cameras will be there so All Blacks supporters will be hoping that they provide an inspiration for Ryan Evans and his team.

Quirkily, both teams lost to Llandovery last time out, Neath sinking 7-38 at Church Bank against the champions who then moved on to the Brewery Field where Bridgend lost 13-36.

Injuries to full back Lewis Evans and prop Elis Hopkins have disrupted Neath’s planning and the starting line-up shows several changes with veteran full back Aaron Bramwell and wings Dafydd Howells and Ryan Griffiths returning.

The scrum half position is yet to be determined but will lie between Elis Horgan, Chris Morgans and Gruff Williams.

In the pack, player-coach Tim Ryan, lock Jacob Blackmore and flanker Morgan Kneath start.
