Neath RFC

Following their fine 24-19 win over near-neighbours Aberavon on boxing Day, Neath travel to Carmarthen Quins on Saturday (kick off 2.30pm).

There was a magnificent crowd of 4,106 at The Gnoll for Tuesday’s clash and that figure is unlikely to be emulated at Carmarthen Park but Neath’s regular  followers will be there in strength for the final fixture of the old year.

Neath’s starting line-up shows two changes from that which opened against Aberavon with Louis Rees on the right wing and Mason Morgan taking over at loose-head prop from the in-form Jack Powell who gets a well-deserved break.

The replacements’ bench is yet to be finalised but it will include flanker Fergus Kneath who impressed against Swansea but was unavailable for the Aberavon game.
