Neath coach Gareth Llewellyn says there will be changes for Friday’s game against Moseley (7.45pm at The Gnoll) – but not on a large scale!

“There will be changes but not too many,” he says, “because this time of year is all about building patterns and getting players used to our systems.”

As such, supporters should not expect wholesale changes – rather a few gentle tweaks to the side which won 38-17 at battling Ystalyfera last Saturday.

Llewellyn said, “We were reasonably satisfied with last Saturday after a slow start. We are pushing the boys hard in training and we did in the warm-up beforehand.

“Friday’s game with Moseley will be a big challenge as they are a very big, powerful outfit. It is a rare chance for the supporters to see an English side at The Gnoll and we’ll need to pull out all the stops.”

Players who may come into the frame are full back Ed Howley who was away last week, Gavin Evans and Scott Gibson although Llewellyn was well pleased with young scrum-halves Dalton Brown and Tom Sadler and centre Ben Atkins too.

Up front, Ben Uphill, Aled Morris and Ryan Bean may start too. The team will be announced here as usual after training on Thursday.

** NEATH’s PREMIERSHIP season kicks off on Saturday August 26th at 7:30pm at The Gnoll vs Swansea RFC with further home games scheduled for September against RGC (9th) and Llanelli (23rd). Season tickets are still available and cover all home Premiership matches.
