Neath RFC

Ebbw Vale pay a hasty return to The Lextan Gnoll to play Neath on Saturday (kick off 2.30pm).

Last month, Ebbw Vale won 19-40 at The Gnoll and this time head west as leaders of the Indigo Premiership following two good home victories over RGC and Llandovery.

Neath were rather unlucky last time at home when they were edged out by a single point 22-23 by Pontypridd and last weekend they picked up a bonus point but were well beaten at Cardiff Arms Park.

As usual, there are changes in the Neath starting line-up with James Roberts making his seasonal bow on one wing and Dafydd Howells returning on the other. Kristian Jones comes in at centre and Chris Morgans starts at scrum-half.

Up front, Thomas John and Cai Arnold pair up in the boiler-house while David Griggs makes his first home start of the season and is flanked by Gethin Tremlett and Ben Williams.

Josh Clark re-appears on the replacements’ bench as does Tim Ryan while there may be a place for Owain Morgan too.

Ebbw Vale will be confident of extending their run – so Neath must be doubly determined to end it ! Whatever the weather, spectator comfort is assured with three sides of The Gnoll under full cover.
