CRUEL DEFEAT FOR BLACKS
WRU Premiership champions stole a 22-19 win at Neath through a last kick penalty by Ben Jones.
Tries by lock Paddy McBride and wing Jack Kathrens plus a Jones conversion gave Merthyr a 12-nil interval lead before Neath levelled with scores by
hooker Sion Jones converted by outside-half Paul Short and a glorious effort by wing Morgan Meaclem from the restart.
Neath replacement hooker Kian Jones forced his way over when Neath rolled back the visiting forwards and Short converted but Merthyr levelled with a try by scrum-half Daf Land which Jones converted before landing that last cruel kick.
