Floodlit rugby is back !
Neath take on Bridgend on Wednesday (kick off 7.30pm) as floodlit rugby returns to The Gnoll for the first time this season and the Foster’s Challenge Cup kicks off.
Bridgend have a very similar record to Neath this season in the Principality Premiership with 2 wins (at home to Cross Keys and Bedwas) while Neath’s two wins have come on the road at Bargoed and at home to Cardiff.
Neath and Bridgend were in different Pools last season so this is the first time the clubs have met in the Foster’s Cup. The other game in the Pool sees unbeaten Aberavon travel to Cardiff at the Arms Park.
The referee for Wednesday’s game is Mr. Simon Mills (Llanelli) assisted by Mr. Richard Jones (Aberdulais) and Mr. Daniel Harries (Carmarthen).
The Neath team will appear here on Tuesday evening.
** On Saturday, Ospreys Premiership Select XV will play on London Irish at The Gnoll (kick off 2.30pm).
