ADRIAN SHAW
Adrian Shaw was Glamorgan’s wicket-keeper when they won the 1997 County Championship. He was also behind the stumps at Lord’s in the 2000 Benson and Hedges Cup Final at Lord’s, before becoming a highly respected cricket coach.

The former rugby player with Neath RFC had been Glamorgan reserve wicket-keeper since the late 1980s but his superior batting, as testified by a series of centuries in the Second Eleven Championship, led to his promotion over Colin Metson during the second half of 1996 when the county’s selectors attempted to strength the county’s batting.
