Neath blazed past Bargoed in a real cracker of a game played at a remarkable pace at The Gnoll where the home side took the spoils on a 7-3 try count to stay second in the table behind Pontypridd.
Bargoed scored first when ex-Cardiff No.8 Tom Rice crossed and Josh Prosser converted but the Neath forwards were on the rampage and lock Matthew Davies scored two tries before skipper Ben Williams stormed over. Outside-half Steff Williams converted all three but on the stroke of half-time Bargoed were awarded a penalty try to make it 21-14 to Neath.
Vintage Neath stepped on the gas in the second-half and registered four more tries via both wingers Nathan Orrells and Matthew Jenkins, flanker Gethin Tremlett and centre Kieran Charles, Williams converting one more and adding a penalty.
