Neath RFC

Saturday, August 13th, 2016 will see Neath kick off their rugby preparations on the field of play – and they’ll do so at the double.

The rugby action will get underway early that day at The Gnoll which will be hosting the ever-popular Cwmtawe Sevens tournament for the first time.

Neath will be entering a strong team in preparation for the WRU Premiership Foster’s Sevens later in the month on the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Sevens will continue throughout the day but in the afternoon Neath will be sending a separate squad to Maesteg (kick off 2.30pm) to help the Old Parish mark the re-opening of their handsome new Clubhouse.

The match will be controlled by Welsh rugby’s leading referee Nigel Owens MBE and forms the centre-piece of a weekend of celebration for Maesteg RFC.
