Prop forwards led the way in Neath RFC’s appearance-charts for 2021/22 with Tim Ryan and Gareth Lloyd taking the field in 27 of the 29 games played.
A third prop forward – Jack Powell – was not far behind on 25 alongside lock Jacob Blackmore and winger Jon Bayliss while top points scorer Steff Williams played in 23 games.
Top try scorer James Roberts appeared 22 times as did skipper Aaron Bramwell, centre Ryan Evans, scrum-half Macauley Griffiths and No.8 David Griggs.
Lock Sam Langford, flanker Owain Morgan (both 21) and flanker Alun Jones and full back Iestyn Morgan also featured in 20 games.
Coach Pat Horgan said, “The vast majority of our squad have re-signed for next season and we will be looking to build upon a season of steady consolidation and achievement really as we finished second in the table and won the cup. We need to keep improving though and get fitter for the challenges ahead.”
The squad will be reinforced and new signings will be announced here shortly.
