Neath have added winger Tom Rees to their growing ranks – as he becomes the 13th player to join the Welsh All Blacks this summer.

Plumber Tom joins from Ammanford where he forged a formidable reputation with his strength and speed which made him one of the players to watch in Division 1 West.

He has previously played in the Premiership as a youngster with Carmarthen Quins and he also has extensive Sevens experience but he is now a far more powerful force and will add a different dimension to Neath’s developing back division which promised much last year.

Neath team manager Martyn Morris said, “We are very pleased that Tom has decided to throw in his lot with us. He is very keen to grasp this chance to establish himself in the Premiership and he has all the attributes we are seeking.

“Our back division was a threat to everyone last year but we have a lot more pace now in our back three with the signing of Tom, Gareth Morris and Aaron Grabham as well as Ed Howley who joined us late on last season.

“We have strengthened in all areas, there are still a couple of spots up for grabs and the squad continue to train hard in preparation ahead of next month’s warm-ups which are fast approaching.”
