NEATH AWAITING FITNESS CHECKS AHEAD OF PONTYPOOL

Neath hope to welcome back Aaron Bramwell, Gavin Evans, Mike Evans and Scott Gibson for Saturday’s warm-up against Pontypool at the Gnoll (kick off 2.30pm).

As long as the quartet come through training on Thursday night, team manager Martyn Morris expects them all to be available while prop Luke Garrett and No.8 Scott Hicks could also come into the reckoning.

However, several others are unavailable including winger James Roberts and forwards Garin Lloyd, Ryan Thomas, Rhys Jones, Elis Hopkins and Ieuan Jones.

Last Saturday, Pontypool lost 12-17 at Aberavon where Pooler suffered from being on the receiving end of four yellow cards so a keen tussle is anticipated although of course no league points are at stake.

Match referee is Mr. Craig Evans (Glynneath).
