Neath RFC

Neath open their home season with a first-ever Welsh Premiership game against RGC 1404 at The Gnoll on Saturday (kick off 2.30pm).

The Welsh All Blacks opened their campaign – and upset the bookmakers’ odds – last week with a 13-10 win in a monsoon at Bargoed while the North Walians made their mark with a 20-3 success at Bridgend and sit atop the table on tries after the first week.

We congratulate our visitors on achieving their coveted Premiership status – and on going top of the table last week !

Among the additions to their squad this year are our old prop Ross Davies, Jed Kerkin from Exeter, Pontypridd lock Shaun O’Rourke and ex-Agen outside-half Jacob Botica. Another familiar face will be our former physio Oran E. Davies.

During the summer, RGC brought in Joe Lydon as an adviser and they have a new coach in former Welsh international Mark Jones.

With the annual September Fair in Town, we are hoping for a good turn-out of Neath supporters (plenty of parking available just across from the ground at the new Multi-Storey Car Park).

Remember admission for all Under-16’s is free and 500 tickets have been distributed to local junior schools for the next generation of Welsh All Blacks.

So join our growing band of Neath supporters and make it a great Family Day out.

PLEASE COME ALONG AND SUPPORT THE BLACKS !
