RGC look for another Gnoll Win

RGC head to Neath on Saturday as they look for a 2nd win on the road.

The All Blacks are also looking for win number 2. It was a late penalty by teenage outside-half Iwan Evans gave Neath victory at the first time of asking against other Premiership new boys Bargoed 13-10.

Neath have had a couple of difficult seasons, so coaches Gareth Llewellyn and Paul Williams will be delighted with getting points on the board.

RGC have won at the Gnoll before, back in 2015 when the picked up victory in the Cup.

Andrew Williams was one of the players that played in the 32-26 victory and he knows Saturday’s game will be completely different.

“From a players point of few that win at Neath gave us all a bolt of belief, and it was a massive result. After that I think it took as 6 months to realise what we were capable of, and we went on last season to beat Aberavon and run Cross Keys close”

“The big difference is the speed of game. Last week’s opening 20 minutes showed that, but once we came to terms with the pace we settled and the nerves eased to show we can hold our own at this level of rugby”
