Neath RFC’s first sanitised training session on Monday evening was a success.
After undergoing the necessary health protocols with the Club’s Covid-19 Manager Gerald Morris checking temperatures, 28 players – just short of the allowed 30 -including several newcomers took part with others excused on grounds of work and holidays.
Split into two groups, the squad showed an obvious delight in being able to train as a collective again – after all, the “loneliness of long distance running” can only be tolerated by individuals for so long !
Still, everyone appeared to be in relatively good shape as the Welsh All Blacks took their first tentative step towards the new season.
