RYAN GRIFFITHS JOINING NEATH

Winger Ryan Griffiths is joining Neath from Swansea ahead of the new season and will supplement an already strong pool of wingers in James Roberts, Jon Bayliss and Louis Rees.

Neath coach Patrick Horgan said, “We are pleased to welcome Ryan to The Gnoll. He brings Premiership experience having been a regular try-getter with Swansea and previously Bridgend.

“He will get the opportunity to show his finishing power as Louis recovers from a shoulder injury and we look forward to seeing him in action. With a few students in the squad, depth of talent will be needed over a demanding WRU Championship schedule and it is pleasing to see that so many proven players are keen to join us.”

Ryan is the fourth player with Premiership pedigree to join Neath this summer following Lewis Evans, Iwan Evans and Elis Hopkins into the All Black ranks.

ZAK GIANNINI JOINS NEATH AFTER IMPRESSIVE START

The Welsh All Blacks are still seeking to strengthen their squad and former Wales Under-20’s prop Zak Giannini has joined Neath from Llanelli Wanderers after impressing on permit in three games at the end of last season.

“Zak did very well for us at the tail-end of last season and we look forward to seeing him develop further as he has great potential,” said Patrick Horgan. “There are more players to be named once the necessary transfer processes are complete.”
