Neath RFC

A while ago ago we featured a couple of Neath Rugby supporters on the website, namely Robert Davies (Bob the Milk) and pigeon fancier extraordinaire, Dai Overd.

The spotlight today shines on LOGAN DAVIES, one of Neath’s youngest and keenest supporters, plus a word or two about his Uncle, MARK, for good measure.

Logan is 9 years of age (10 in July), and follows Neath through rain and shine, home and away. The school he attends is Melin Primary School, Neath.

When Logan is not watching Neath play or train (he is one of the loyal band that watch Neath on training nights too), he follows his favourite football team, Manchester United.

As a break from sport he enjoys gaming on the Xbox

His first Neath game was home to Bridgend in 2014

Logan’s Favourite players are Neil White, Aled Morris, Ryan Thomas and Ed Howley.
He was Club Mascot against Maesteg (f) when Aled Morris was Captain.

Neath’s secret weapon of late has been the STARBURST sweets given by Logan to the players. This has been a big part of Neath’s recent improvement in form.

In gratitude for the support that Logan gives to the team, the players and management have been very kind to Logan and offloaded some items of rugby clothing and even provided a signed match ball (see below).

MARK DAVIES

Mark has supported Neath for 35 years. Born and bred in Neath, witnessed Neath beat the best and just lose to Australia, New Zealand and the bloodbath at The Gnoll against South Africa. Favourite all time players are Paul Thorburn and Alan Bateman.

His enthusiasm for The Club, has sparked the interest with nephew Logan: who is a big favourite with the players, management and supporters alike.

on BANDFEST day last weekend)

Mark is keen on Darts as well as rugby and can be seen on occasions having a sweet sherry in HQ (Neath Rugby Clubhouse).

Mark plays Pool for Neath Rugby Barmy Army and ex-cricketer for Cimla and Briton Ferry Town.

Logan is pictured below at The Gnoll with Mark and Logan’s hero, “Iceman” Gerwyn Price, the former Neath Hooker, now Professional Darts Player.
