TEAM NEWS & SUPPORTER INFORMATION: NEATH v CARMARTHEN QUINS (HOME) – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th, 2023 – KICK OFF 2.30PM
Neath play their first home game in this season’s Indigo Premiership when they host Carmarthen Quins at The Gnoll (kick off 2.30pm).
Last week Quins suffered a home defeat (31-55) to champions Llandovery but had the satisfaction of scoring four tries so Neath know they will need to be at their best.
Ryan Evans will captain a Neath side which features four changes from the side which battled hard against the odds in a 14-27 defeat at Aberavon last Saturday evening.
Into the team come winger Josh Congreve who scored in each of Neath’s three pre-season games and Joe Hutchings is on the other flank which he occupied for most of last week’s game after Ryan Griffiths was concussed and whence he scored a try.
Two changes up front see hooker Chris Morris replace the injured Sion Crocker and young flanker Fletcher Barry comes in after impressing in pre-season. Macauley Griffiths and Aaron Bramwell are on the replacements’ bench.
