RGC picked up their first win of the season on Saturday agaainst Llanelli 25-22 and,
after the late Jacob Botica penalty kick clincher, their centre Tiaan Loots knows they players need to follow it up
again away at Neath.
“It was good to get that first win under our belt, but we still
have a lot to work on. It is a long season, so we wont be looking too far ahead,
and we must improve again if we are to get any result away at Neath.”
“The positive is that we are making chances, but we are not taking them. Looking back at the
Llanelli game we showed some maturity when it went all square with 5 minutes to go.
Llanelli had some momentum but we worked the ball up the pitch, and got the penalty
by doing the basics right.”
“We didn’t perform at Llandovery so as a squad we want to
get that 1st away win of the season. Neath will be confident and looking at their
result they will play for the full 80 minutes so we must be at the top of our game.”
