Neath RFC

Neath RFC are delighted to welcome former Wales wing Dafydd Howells back to The Gnoll.

Dafydd made his senior rugby debut for Neath as a 17 year old back in 2013/14 and soon displayed his talents.

He earned a place on the Wales tour to Japan where he made his international debut and won two caps.

Injuries disrupted his time at both Ospreys and Dragons and in 2021/22 he turned out for Ebbw Vale in the Premiership before gaining employment in the steel industry and rejoining home club Abercrave last season.

Now he is back at The Gnoll and is keen to play a full part in Neath’s return to the Premiership.

Neath coach Patrick Horgan said, “We are absolutely thrilled to have a player of Dafydd’s class and quality back at The Gnoll.

At 28, he still has plenty of rugby left in him and I am certain that the supporters will be looking forward to seeing him run out again in Neath colours.”
