The clubhouse was presented with a framed newspaper cutting, which was found by lifelong supporter, Mike Pickering, when he was having a bit of a household clearout. The cutting is about the record breaking 1988-89 season,where Neath rfc scored a record number of points. In fact it is in the Guinness book of records as such.

Mike is part of a group of supporters called ‘The Thursday night club’ and when he told them what he had found they all thought that it would be a good idea to photocopy the original, and frame it to hang in the clubhouse. So they all chipped in and paid to have it mounted and framed. The photo shows the Thursday night club members who helped get it framed.
