Neath RFC

Neath RFC is shocked to learn of the sudden death of former back row forward Andy Llewellyn who made 149 appearances for Neath between 2003 and 2012.

Llew” – as he was widely known – started out with Neath Athletic and, during a long career, also played for Bonymaen, Tata Steel and Ystalyfera where he cut his coaching teeth before returning to his roots at Neath Athletic. He coached the Athletic during their rise through the West Central Divisions over the last few seasons.

He played for the Welsh All Blacks during a particularly successful phase and his time with Neath spanned five Welsh Premiership titles and three Welsh Cup wins.

Only a week before his death, he had filled in on the replacements’ bench for the Athletic and the sympathies of all at Neath RFC go to his family and friends.
