Neath Rugby Supporters’ Club have revealed the names of the six heroes of yesteryear who will form this year’s cohort of inductees into the Neath RFC “Hall of Fame”.

The senior nominee is former prop John Dodd, sadly no longer with us, who captained Neath for three years in the early 1960’s and achieved everything in the Game bar winning the Welsh cap he deserved. He is joined by two other props – Phil Langford and John Davies –  as well as lock Mike Whitson. The backs are represented by two internationals in winger Alan Edmunds, scorer of Neath’s famous try against New Zealand in 1989, and outside-half Arwel Thomas.

T.P. Whittington, Sam S. Clarke, Dr. E.V. Pegge, Will Jones, Howel Jones, Albert E. Freethy, Frank Rees, Glyn Stephens, Tom Evans, Tom Arthur, Dan Jones, Rees Stephens,
