Five more heroes of yesteryear are to be inducted into the Neath RFC “Hall of Fame” organised by the Neath Rugby Supporters’ Club.
In no particular order, the fifth Inductee to be announced is BARRY WILLIAMS.
BARRY WILLIAMS won Youth honours with Llandeilo before joining Neath in 1993 and was a championship-winner in 1995/96 when Neath beat Fiji. He won the first of his 24 caps in 1996 and toured South Africa with the Lions in 1997. He returned to Neath in 2001 and extended his appearances to 144 before joining 20 of his Neath team-mates as the core of the new Ospreys region.
Barry will join a host of famous players already inducted into the “Hall of Fame” :-

Neath RFC secretary Mike Price said, “Once again the Supporters’ Club have arrived at five excellent choices who each rendered the Club tremendous service. Those who saw them play will remember with affection their contribution in the famous All Black shirt.
Len Kowalski, chairman of the Neath Rugby Supporters’ Club said, “The Hall of Fame awards are always a difficult choice and Neath RFC has produced so many top class players over the years. Hopefully we have come up with a good balance but there are many more to come.
“The evening is always eagerly anticipated and it brings together our famous past with the present and we look forward to May 26.”

Dawn will be at the clubhouse between 7pm and 8pm on THURSDAY 4th May for you to purchase your tickets.
The tickets are priced at £14 for members and £17 for non members, buffet included in the price.
Tickets will also be available at the next home match versus CROSS KEYS (10th May) and the YSTRAD RHONDDA match (date to be confirmed) – call over to the Supporters table in the clubhouse lounge.
