NEATH 5 CARDIFF MET 22
Neath slipped to a 5-22 defeat at the hands of Cardiff Met who combined attacking flair with defensive resilience for a well deserved win. Met led 15-nil at half-time through tries by wing Jack Walsh and flanker Oli Smith with outside-half Vikas Meijer converting one and kicking a penalty.
A length of the field effort was finished by winger Toby Lock which Vikas Meijer converted before Neath lock Jacob Blackmore crossed for their only score but that was the only time they breached the students’ defence.
Neath will hope to make amends of a kind at home to Bonymaen on Boxing Day (kick off 2.30pm).
