Neath missed out on a second WRU Championship Cup final when they were beaten 9-26 by Pontypool at Ebbw Vale RFC.

The Blacks trailed nil-6 at the interval and were well in the game going into the last ten minutes at 9-16 after Steff Williams kicked three penalties.

But a penalty and a late converted try made it safe for Pontypool who now meet Ystrad Rhondda in the final on April 23.
