GLYN STEPHENS and REES STEPHENS
Local rugby writer Phil Grant has produced his latest work which should appeal to all Neath RFC rugby followers as it concerns two of the Welsh All Blacks’ most famous sons – the legendary Neath, Wales and Lions forward of the 1950’s Rees Stephens and his father Glyn who remain the only father and son to captain Wales.
Four years in the writing ‘Rees Stephens : Like Father, Like Son’ should be available by Monday 17th November 2025. The 640-page hard cover book is priced at £25 per copy with 40% of the sale price going directly to Prostate Cymru (see below).
It is a fascinating story of the considerable contribution made to Neath and international rugby in Wales by the Stephens family.
Over 100 of this single print run of 450 copies have already sold and when they are gone there will be no subsequent print run.
A book launch will take place at Neath Athletic RFC clubhouse during the first week of December, date to be confirmed.
This rare and collectable book would make an ideal Christmas present and if desired can be signed and dedicated to someone special by the author.
